Now About Those Christmas Pounds…

christmas-baking210I trust you had a wonderful Christmas celebration with your family!  Turkey, gravy, stuffing, mashed potatoes, pumpkin pie, and the yummy list goes on!

So now the reality is we’ve all gained a few pounds that we need to lose in January.  Or else our pants are going to fit too tightly in the New Year!

Here are a few things you can do about those Christmas pounds:

1.  Keep a food journal for a week.  Pay attention to what is going in your mouth and keep sweets to a minimum. 

2.  Workout with a vengeance!  Start a new class at the gym like kickboxing or spin.  Try a new exercise DVD. 

3.  Serve more vegetables.  There aren’t many veggies in Christmas cakes or cookies, so chances are you and your family could use a dose of green, red and orange veggies!

4.  Drink water and tea; skip coffee with sugar and hot chocolate.
