Day 6 – It’s All About Access

refrigIn my audio course, Losing Weight After Baby: 31 Days to a New You, I think Day 5 is one of the most pivotal daily messages.  What kind of food do you have regular access to? 

If your pantry looks like shelf at 7-Eleven (chips, soda, cookies, candy bars), you’re not going to be very successful at eating smart at home.  You’ve got to make some sacrifices to get the body of your dreams and that starts with cleaning out your kitchen cabinets. 

When the ice cream runs out in the freezer, don’t run out and buy more.  Wait.  You can hang on for a few days without your beloved Chunky Monkey. 

Stock up on apples, celery, hummus, pita bread, grapes, avocados, etc.  You want to reach for a fruit or vegetable, a whole grain cracker with a slice of cheese, or a few nuts when you’re hungry. 

Your weight loss battles are won at the grocery store when you make healthy choices!  Win at the store and you’ll win at home!  Those pounds will come off when you limit your access to junk food!
