Day 27 – Damage Control

ice-cream-cones-400If you’re human, you’ve probably eaten something this week and then thought, “Oh well.  I can eat healthier tomorrow.”  Like yesterday, when I was being treated to PF Changs and had more helpings of everything:  pan fried noodles, crispy honey shrimp, orange peel chicken, lettuce cups…oops!  Am I making you hungry?  Somehow when the food is free, I feel like I should eat as much as I can and not let a single morsel go to waste.  But of course, then it ends up on my waist!  And the pants are feeling a little tight today.

So what can we do when we overeat, or cave into a temptation we swore 10 minutes ago we wouldn’t cave in to? 

Establish some kind of consequences for your cheats and indulgences.  Maybe an extra 15 minutes of cardio the next day or 50 sit ups before bedtime.  Think of something to balance out the scales a little bit, or else the scale will be tipping in the wrong direction unfortunately!
